Just a little something, since this community's just getting on its feet.

I've been trying to very slowly and carefully move away from a solidly anime-esque style, which has been my standby for years. I'm still focusing on a "cartoony" style, but but just something different - a little less on the big eyes and pointy noses. So yeah, I went and doodled my favorite swordsman for a bit of practice.



The eyes are... still big. BUT but--! I did draw them using the eyeball shape you're supposed to use. I just made it... big.

I think I like seeing more realistic noses in art. The pointy one-line nose thing is getting old, I guess? Nice work. :3

Haha, same. I at least like when the "pointy nose" has some shading/detail. I dislike even more the trend of drawing no nose at all ): Thanks!

I think the epic sameface is more a problem with the original character design, honestly. Tell me Rutger is not Karel is not Navarre.

Ahahahaha this is a trufax. Also, compare FE6 Karel with FE7 Karel. Not even the same person. More like a hotter Eliwood.
